About

At the center of our being is a point of nothingness which is untouched by sin and by illusion … – Thomas Merton

My name is Louise. I am a mother, a wife, and, importantly, a friend to myself.

A transformative shift occurred in my life when I became curious about self-compassion and kindness. This curiosity led me on a journey of deep personal growth and exploration, particularly the intersection between psychology and spirituality. For me, Internal Family Systems (IFS) is the psycho-spiritual model that beautifully bridges these dimensions of my life.

I first encountered IFS while listening to Jay Earley in The Self-Acceptance Project on SoundsTrue.com. The modality immediately resonated with me—it felt warm, familiar, and profoundly aligned with my inner journey.

Since then, I have immersed myself in the IFS framework. I’ve completed the IFS Online Circle, as well as Levels 1, 2 (Trauma and Neuroscience), and 3 training. Additionally, I’ve had the privilege of serving as a Program Assistant (PA) for Level 1 online training in Australia and Poland. My IFS training also includes specialized workshops and continuity programs, such as Using IFS to Heal Our Relationships with Food and Body; IFS Treatment for Sexual Abuse Victims and Perpetrators; Working with Children and Adolescents; Depression, Anxiety, and Shame; Self-Leadership on Diversity and Inclusion; IFS Treatment for Restoring Health; and Behold and Lead the Internal Sexual System (BLISS).

Before entering this field, I worked in the IT industry as a programmer. This experience has given me a unique perspective; I often see parallels between systemic programming and the internal dynamics of our minds. Just as no component of a software system operates in isolation, our internal systems are intricately interconnected, with relationships, dependencies, and demands that shape how we function as a whole.

Today, I am an IFS Practitioner, a Reiki Master, and a Bachelor of Psychology (Honours) student at Griffith University. My work integrates these diverse disciplines to offer a holistic approach to healing and personal growth.

Reiki for the Mind was born out of love—and so were you.
